The Knocks is located between Mountrath/Ballyfin Portlaoise Co Laois.  The existing waterworks was built pre 1907, and has supplies water to Mountrath/Portlaoise and surrounding area.  The existing water storage tanks are in poor repair and there is only one tank in use. The works involve providing a rising main and distribution main from the existing boreholes located at The Knocks Ballyfin, to a new reservoir site some 460m away in The Knocks townsland. We, as main contractors commenced work on October 22nd 2012, and are due to complete works at the end of March 2013.

Killeen Civil Engineering were the main contractors on the new motorway services at Junction 14 Mayfield outside Monasterevin, Co. Kildare. The award-winning Junction 14 opened for businesss in June 2011.
